Congratulations to our Seniors, Kyle Engel, Zac Martin, Zach Sens, and Mitch Poetter. The Braves will forever be impacted by your contributions over the years. Our future will be brighter because of the foundation you helped fortify. There were ups and downs, lessons learned, joy, sadness, victory and defeat... But in the end each of you did your best, learned so much about life, teamwork and responsibility. Your success is not based on points in a career or games won, but by the friendships you've made, the life skills that you've acquired and the personal grown that you've achieved.
You will be missed... Thanks for being a part of our family, a family that will embrace you always.

Playing their BEST HOCKEY of the season, the Braves 2011-2012 campaign came to a close this weekend.
After a decisive victory over Elder which saw the team put together their finest three periods of the season, our Braves were ready to tackle the favored Orange from Olentangy in the second round.
The Braves came out nervous in the 1st period and found themselves down to a very quick and opportunistic competitor. Olentangy took advantage of a couple Braves mistakes and buried 3 goals sending Talawanda to the dressing room down 3-1.
The second period was a different story. Talawanda looked like the favorite from the first face-off, dominating the play in every way. Outshooting Olentangy 11-5 in that period the Braves did every thing they could to tie the game, but managed only one tally. Heading into the dressing room the boys were only down one with momentum on their side.
In a hard fought third period which saw shots about even again, Talawanda had the advantage in play and almost tied the game several times. Olentangy managed to add to their lead with a break-a-way goal minutes after the Braves missed on their break-a-way opportunity which would have tied it up.
With the goalie pulled our boys had several near misses but fell short. It was a sad ending to a fantastic game. The boys can all be proud of their efforts and they can feel good about how they ended the season; playing their best hockey, playing as a team, playing for each other.
